Week 5 ~ 6

Chapter 3: Introduction to The Quantum Theory of Solids (6 hours)

  • Allowed and forbidden energy bands

  • Extension to three dimensions
  • Density of states function
  • Statistical mechanics

Week 7 ~ 9
